April 4, Beaufort: 52nd Spring Candlelight Tour of Homes

About: We welcome our longstanding attendees and new guests to the tour this year. We have many beautiful homes in Historic Downtown Beaufort planned for the tour. About:  Houses will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.  Please allow a full day for each day's tour.  Histories and maps showing the routes for the day are provided with tickets.  Hosts and hostess will be happy to answer any questions you may have concerning the houses that are open.  Visitors provide their own transportation.  Only cars and vans are allowed on the tours because of the many low-hanging oak limbs and soft roadbeds.  NO BUSES, Please.

About: The Aiken Horse Show's popularity is due to its unique setting in the middle of Hitchcock Woods. The Hitchcock Woods, a 2100 acre forest preserve in the center of Aiken, is owned and managed by the Hitchcock Woods Foundation for the recreational use and enjoyment of the public. About:  On April 12, the 9th Annual Tame the Tyger River Race and Festival promises paddling enthusiasts more fun than ever as they paddle their way through 7.5 miles of class I and II whitewater. Boaters can push their endurance to the limit or float their way down the course.  Great prizes and a boat giveaway will spur more advanced boaters to rush to the finish line. Safety boaters along the river will ensure participants of all ages navigate smoothly through the trickier sections. At the end of the race, good food, music and entertainment will kick off the festival. Pee Dee Coalition needs your help! Pee Dee Coalition is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to the needs of its victims. Coalition Volunteers make a direct impact in the lives of victims. The Coalition offers a variety of opportunities, including crisis line, hospital response team, support group, and speaker’s bureau. The next training course begins in August.
