The Florence Regional Arts Alliance was established as the Florence
Area Arts Council in 1984 by concerned practitioners and advocates
desiring to enhance coordination, promotion, and funding for the arts. 
In order to reflect more appropriately its developing role and operable
relationships, the organization became the Florence Regional Arts
Alliance in 2000 and subsequently began operating from its first physical
facility in the heart of downtown Florence.
